Gymnastics
Gymnastics covers many different disciplines. All are skilled and challenging and require physical strength, agility and co-ordination. Under the overall description of gymnastics lie the individual disciplines and activities of
-Men’s artistic Gymnastics (includes high bar, parallel bars, rings, floor, vault and pommel horse)
-Women’s Artistic gymnastics (includes uneven bars, beam, floor and vault)

- Trampoline and Tumbling Gymnastics
- Acrobatic Gymnastics
- Double Mini Tramp
- GMPD
British Gymnastics is the only recognised Governing Body for the sport of Gymnastic with the UK, and a good source of information.

British Gymnastics (BG) is the UK National Governing Body for the sport of Gymnastics. It is a not for profit organisation dedicated to developing levels and quality of provision across a range of disciplines.
The England Gymnastics website has useful information on Volunteers, Club Development, Events and Courses.
The North of England Gymnastic Association is one the 10 English Gymnastics Regions. Gymnastics is coordinated by the Regional Executive Committee, who oversee the work of the Technical Committees, responsible for the various Gymnastic disciplines.
