Dance in Cumbria is experiencing an unprecedented period of investment and development
Cumbria County Council is part of NorthWestDance: The Lowry Youth Dance Partnership is a collective of organisations working in partnership with Youth Dance England and the Department for Children Schools and Families Music and Dance Scheme. Together we provide and champion high quality dance in all its forms, for all children, young people, and youth dance leaders throughout the region; promoting increased access to opportunities, raising standards and improving progression routes.
Cumbria County Council, with it's local partners, is aiming to:
- Increase participation for all
- Develop the local workforce
- Celebrate excellence in dance
- Make dance sustainable in Cumbria
Dance is for everyone whatever your need or ability
Not everyone wants to become a professional dancer, but dance as a hobby can contribute to your physical and mental health regardless of age, commitment or ability.
Visit the Artefacts website for more information about Dance in Cumbria.
