In a sports society where clubs cannot survive without voluntary assistance, it has never been more important to increase our understanding of sports volunteers!
A Master's student at Leeds Metropolitan University is currently researching the experiences of volunteer coaches. By investigating factors that affect coaching engagement, the study aims to gain a better understanding of volunteers and ultimately help to increase volunteer retention. The research requires sports coaches either working on a paid or voluntary basis to complete a short questionnaire package. A high number of responses will increase the study's validity.
