CARLISLE’S Sheepmount sports facilities have been awarded Centre of Excellence status and are listed in the LOCOG Training Camps Guide with a view to hosting training for the 2012 London Olympics.
Active Cumbria caught up with a number of local young medal hopefuls who hope to be competing in the historic games.
