Trail Mountain Bike Leader Course

What is the Course?
Designed to train bike leaders in non technical or trail terrain. All those who are able to meet the award criteria by the end of the course will be qualified immediately. Netherhall School Specialist Sports College has received funding for the course to up skill volunteers to be able to lead novice, young or developing riders.
Experience Required
Any previous knowledge of skills covered including preparing for rides, leadership, navigation skills, practical repair skills and group work etc which can be from a different context will be useful. All areas will be covered and therefore no previous experience is essential. Must be 18 years of age. An up to date First Aid Certificate would be beneficial but training can be provided.
The Course Assessments are as non intrusive as possible and are designed to ensure you have the knowledge and feedback to complete the final assessment of your skills. The course is delivered by the professional organisation OTC TRAINING and aims to be fun as well as informative, using different styles of presentations and hands on practical sessions to suit everyone needs.

Monday 11th Feb 2008, 6pm – 9 pm
Tuesday 12th Feb, 9am -9pm
Wednesday 13th Feb, 9am -5pm.
