Cumbria Sportshall Athletics Competition
Do you enjoy athletics?
Would you like the opportunity to compete for Cumbria?
Can you run, jump or throw?
If you answered YES to any of the above come along to the Cumbria Sportshall Athletics Competition and have a go….
Date: Sunday 3rd February
Time: 1.30 – 4pm event (1pm onwards arrival)
Venue: Hoops Centre, Thorncliffe Road, Barrow in Furness, LA14 5QP
Age groups:
Under 13 (years 7 & 8) boys and girls
Under 15 (years 9 & 10) boys and girls
Please come suitably dressed and bring any drinks with you!
If selected you need to be available on Sunday 24th February to compete in the North West Sportshall final in Wigan.
Sportshall Athletics is track and field athletics adapted for indoor use. Events include jump mats for standing long and triple jump, traditional shot putt and high jump. Plus other events specifically for indoor use. You’ll have the chance to compete in running, jumping, throwing and relays.
