Carlisle Cougars will hold their first open day at Carlisle RUFC, Warwick Road on Saturday 9th August to attract new women and girls to rugby.
The Cougars now entering their 13th season are looking for new players over the age of 12. No experience is necessary, however the Cougars are looking for women and girls who fancy giving the sport a try and who bring with them a sense of humour! There is no ideal size or shape for a rugby player and the Cougars can offer the sport to any one over 12. It does help to enjoy being outdoors and working in a team. Also rugby does involve getting close to a fair bit of mud, so if you or anyone you know is up for it come and give it ago! The open day starts at 2pm, followed by a BBQ a 4.30pm. If you are interested in coming along please call or text Lucy on 07912110785 or email carlislecougars@hotmail.co.uk. The Cougars would like to thank the RFUW and RFU for their support with this event.
