Award Categories

The Cumbria Sports Awards have 10 award categories. Please supply as much information as you can on the achievements of your nominee. Supporting information such as press cuttings can also be provided.

The awards are:

Sports Personality of the Year The finest achievement throughout the year by an individual.

Team of the Year
Best team achievement throughout the past year.

Performance of the Year
Best single performance by an individual/team during the year.

Junior Sports Personality of the Year (Under 18 at time of awards ceremony)
The finest achievement throughout the year by an individual. (In addition five young Cumbrian nominees in this category will receive Rising Star Trophies).

Junior Team of the Year
The finest achievement by a young team throughout the past year (18 years or under).

Performance Award for People with a Disability
Best single performance by an individual/team (with recognised disability) during the year.

Special Award
To be awarded at the discretion of the panel.

Service to Sport Award
To acknowledge dedicated services to sport(s) in Cumbria, regardless of time.

Volunteer of the Year Award
Greatest contribution to a club, performer, community or school by a volunteer of any age this year.

Coach of the Year
Nominations limited to NGB Qualified Coaches only.
