Coach Development and Mentoring
Cumbria Sport, in Partnership with Sports Coach UK are offering a number of courses and development opportunities for coaches of all abilities, from the beginner to the international.
Coach education experiences tend to occur in isolated blocks of time, usually seveal months if not years apart, that are largely unconnected in the mind of the coach. For many coaches, coach education is a means rather than an end - it is an opportunity to move up the coaching ladder or gain a qualification, rather than an opportunity to improve as a coach.
The aim of the Cumbria Sport 'Developing Coaches' mentoring programme is to allow coaches to design their own action plans and to reach their coaching goals through support and guidance from a personal mentor and Cumbria Sport.
