I lead the Partnership on the creation of a “Single Delivery System for Sport” in Cumbria. The System is all about bringing together key partners involved in sports delivery including National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGB’s), Local Authority Leisure and Recreation Departments and School Sports Partnerships (SSP’s), and connecting them in a co-ordinated structure. This is mainly done through the formation of Sport and Physical Activity Alliances (SPAA’s), with the aim to increase participation rates by 1% year on year and widening access opportunities for target groups.
